Toxoplasma IgG ELISA Kit is an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay for the qualitative detection of IgG-class antibodies to Toxoplasma in human serum or plasma. It is intended to be used in clinical laboratories for diagnosis and management of patients related to infection with Toxoplasma. In general, a rise in Toxoplasma IgM antibodies first appears after Toxoplasma infection, which can be detected around 6 days after infection, then gradually rises and remains for several weeks to months, and finally gradually declines until it disappears. A positive IgG antibody indicates a previous Toxoplasma gondii infection, usually chronic, but can also be acute. After the first test for IgG antibodies, the same test is repeated 2-3 weeks later and if there is a 4-fold or more increase in the potency of the antibodies, further diagnosis is required.
