The Chlamydia Trachomatis Antigen Rapid Test Kit (Colloidal gold) is a lateral flow chromatographic immunoassay. The test cassettes consist of :1) a burgundy colored conjugate pad containing anti-Chlamydia Trachomatis Lipopolysaccharide monoclonal antibody II conjugated with colloidal gold; A nitrocellulose membrane strip containing one test line (T line) and a control line(C line). The T line is precoated with anti-Chlamydia Trachomatis Lipopolysaccharide monoclonal antibody I. The C line is precoated with the rabbit anti-mouse polyclonal antibody. When an adequate volume of test specimen is added into the sample well of the test cassette, the specimen migrated by capillary action across the pre-coated membrane. The Chlamydia Trachomatis Antigen if present in the specimen will bind to the anti-Chlamydia Trachomatis Lipopolysaccharide monoclonal antibody II conjugates. The immunocomplex is then captured by the antibody coated in T line, forming a burgundy colored T line, indicating Chlamydia Trachomatis antigen positive test results.
